The Brief

NorthPoint Trading and Investments Pte. Ltd., a Singapore based fund specialising in critical metals for the energy transition, was facing a fundamental perception challenge. In a sector often dominated by the aggressive aesthetics of traditional banking or the visual noise of the crypto world, NorthPoint needed to be born with the weight, credibility and heritage of an already established institution.

01 / Challenge

Ethics. Navigation.

The strategic challenge for Personaje Studio was to design an international identity capable of communicating immediate trust and an unwavering ethical compass, while balancing both Western and Asian sensitivities.

On an operational level, we also had to translate that solidity into a digital presence through an ethical MVP: a static, controlled scope web architecture that preserved the premium character expected from a corporate portal.

The Vision / The Approach

We developed the brand around the philosophy of the quiet whisper. The identity is built on a narrative of solid navigation and openness to dialogue, expressing confidence without excess.

The symbol is born from a conceptual intersection: an octagon inspired by the eight directions of Feng Shui, representing balance, which contains both the Polaris star and a compass rose.

Through the use of an inner circle, we created a deliberate optical illusion: a classic compass held inside a modern geometric structure.

To materialise this sense of sophistication, we avoided short lived effects, gradients and unnecessary animations. Instead, we relied on Work Sans, a typeface that brings neo grotesque authority with subtle classical nuances.

We refined the shapes of the r and the t, ensuring a functional elegance that scales effortlessly from legal documents to digital interfaces.

The colour palette moves away from flat corporate blue in favour of a dense and immersive Brand Blue 1B1A54, illuminated by Platinum White and refined with sophisticated accents in Dark Rose Gold B8557B.

Under the tagline Insights-Led. Impact-Driven., NorthPoint emerges with a visual language that does not simply suggest passive observation, but expresses agency, movement and strategic purpose.

By moving away from technological gimmicks and choosing a static HTML and CSS structure, with a strict grid and generous white space, we turned a technical constraint into a design statement: true elegance lies in order, clarity and hierarchy.
